The official John Wick 4 trailers arrive uncovering Keanu Reeves’ come back as the assassin out for revenge against the Top Table in the action sequel.

In the first action-packed John Wick 4 trailers, Keanu Reeves gets down and bloody once more. Along with Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, and Lance Reddick will reprise their roles in the next episode of the action franchise.
Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Scott Adkins, as well as Rina Sawayama, Bill Skarsgrd, and Clancy Brown, will return to the franchise in John Wick 4.
John Wick 4 was teased ahead of the release of John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum, with Lionsgate announcing the sequel following its strong opening weekend, along with John Wick 5.
Originally slated to be shot back-to-back, the COVID-19 pandemic and Reeves’ timetable filming The Matrix Resurrections saw these plans cancelled and the focus shifted primarily to the fourth feature.
John Wick 4 ultimately began filming in numerous places in mid-2021 and finished in October.
Lionsgate has released the official John Wick 4 trailer as part of Collider’s Directors on Directing panel in Hall H of the San Diego Comic-Con.
The teaser provides the first genuine look at the action sequel, as Reeves’ titular assassin returns and goes on a new journey to take on the High Table. Check out the thrilling trailer below the jump:
Given that the films in the franchise have relatively straightforward plots, the John Wick 4 teaser recognizes what spectators would be expecting from the sequel and shows off enough of the action to be expected.
The video in the teaser appears to be identical to that presented at this year’s CinemaCon, when Keanu Reeves’ titular assassin expanded on the samurai abilities demonstrated in John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum, namely with his usage of nunchakus in the upcoming picture.
Though Laurence Fishburne’s Bowery King appears in the first John Wick 4 trailer, it appears to be slightly different from the CinemaCon footage in which he simply asks Wick if he’s ready to get back to work rather than the more profane declaration of “You are in the presence of the motherf*cking king!”
The disclosure of the several new High Table members Keanu Reeves’ eponymous protagonist will be going to battle with, particularly Bill Skarsgard and Donnie Yen’s unnamed characters, is one of the most fascinating takeaways from the John Wick 4 video.
The Pennywise actor gets a lot of screen time in the trailer, possibly implying his significance to the plot in the same way that Asia Kate Dillon’s Adjudicator did in John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum, while Yen appears to be a high-ranking member of the High Table and a formidable foe for Wick in the film. Audiences will have to wait for a complete John Wick 4 trailer before the film’s March 24, 2023 release date.
