While some fans are still wondering whether further Jurassic Park films will be released after the release of Jurassic World Dominion, it looks the forthcoming adventure will be the end of the franchise, according to actor Chris Pratt.

Following two successful box office sequels that tried to take the series in new directions, the upcoming Jurassic World Dominion, the third entry in the Jurassic World sequel trilogy, intends to bring the entire franchise to a close on a strong note.

The sequel will take place four years after the events of Jurassic World: the Fallen Kingdom, when the dinosaurs have escaped from the Lockwood estate and are now free to roam the wilderness and other metropolitan areas, living and hunting alongside humans.

In an interview with the Today Show, Pratt stated that after six films, Dominion will be the end of the renowned dinosaur saga. “It took 30 years to create. “This is the sixth Jurassic Park film, and it marks the conclusion of the series,” Pratt stated.

The actor went on to talk about his experience working with the original 1993 cast on the new picture and how it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. “You’ve got the legacy cast returning, including Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum, as well as the actors of ‘Jurassic World.'” “Our tales merge in a way that feels very much like a conclusion,” Pratt added.

“I had no notion I’d ever be an actor, and these people were forever etched in my consciousness as icons. It’s a dream come true to be working with them.”

Aside from the fascinating new species of dinosaurs scheduled to make their debut, the reunion of Dern, Neill, and Goldblum is one of the most intriguing parts of the upcoming picture, and one that will hopefully bring the tale full circle.

The previous two episodes did not get the critical acclaim that Universal Studios had hoped for, with many critics and fans criticizing the confusing stories and lack of engaging characters. However, with Colin Trevorrow returning to direct a Jurassic film, and based on what has been seen in the trailers thus far, Jurassic World Dominion is the deserved ending that many have been yearning for.
